Google search tips

I don’t think there is person who online Internet who doesn’t need Google :) Yes, google is the best search engine according to my opinion. Here I just want to sharing some tips to optimize search google.  We can type any words in google search engine and find the word we want. Based on my experience, and from some articles we should know how google works as search engine.
Google has a unique technique in search whom I know :

1. Google ignores capital letters. It means uppercase and lowercase is same in front of Google. We will have same result for keyword : “TELECOM” and “telecom”

2. Google ignores some stop words or conjuctions. Some stop words  which ignored by Google are before, between, but, also, and, as, at, or, with, without, which, when, etc

The words we search will be displayed with bold by Google, and the stop word will be displayed with usual style. For example type : “ When telecommunication equipment is down in Indonesia “ you can see that word when, is and in will not displayed as bold.

3. Make stop word such as phrase by using quotation marks if they want to be act as keyword.
For example if we want to search phrase like when you say love me just type using quotation mark :  “when you say  love me” or you can type like :when +you + say +you + love + me

4. Google will check the spelling of the word you type. Google will compare word we type with the most word people type in google before. For example if you type  telekom quipment google will suggest you the words most searched, by type
Did you mean : telecom equipment.

The above method will be basic search for google search engine. Beside that, we can use boolean operator to find the keyword. If we want to search keyword telecom informatics, we can type in several ways :

1.  “telecom informatics” : it means we search about telecom and informatics. It is same if we write like this :
telecom AND informatics.

2. telecom OR informatics : it means we search word telecom or informatics, just one of them will be displayed, or both
3. telecom informatics : it means we search word telecom AND/OR telematics.
4. telecom -informatics : we exclude word informatics in search
5. telecom ~informatics    : we find similar or synonim next word of telecom
6. “telecom informatics” site:telecominformatics.com : we search “telecom informatics” in site telecominformatics.com

We can also combine that operator like this :

telecom (informatics AND programming) -blackberry
It means we search word telecom with consists of informatics and programming, exclude word blackberry .

7. “telecom informatics” filetype:pdf : Same with number (1) but in format file pdf
8.  Because operator – already used for excluding word, we use operator .. to write range. For example :
“blackberry price 200..300″ means searching blackberry price from 200 until 300
9 Use operator define. define:telecom will display definition of telecom in web.
10. Google also support for aritmetic operator like * for integer multiplication.
11. allintitle:telecom or intitle:telecom will find page with title telecom
12. allinurl:telecom or inurl:telecom will find URL which contains word telecom
13. link: http://telecominformatics.com will find web which have link to http://telecominformatics.com
14. related: http://telecominformatics.com will find web which has resemblance and similar content with http://telecominformatics.com
15. cache:http://telecominformatics.com telecomwill find word telecom which is already cached by google from URL http://telecominformatics.com

Dont worry, we dont need to memorize all that commands. We can use another advanced search google, or we just memorize and remember basic little of operator like AND, OR.
Good luck for searching word in google with support your work from today.
I hope you give me some feedback and discuss this further. Nice to have you stay here..: )
