In my previous article, I describe how useless blackberry if I dont use BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) and BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) service. Now I try to explain more about blackberry offer to us.
Blackberry same with other device which can operate basic function for SMS or messaging and phone. Blackberry different with other phone which commonly use operating system like Symbian, windows mobile, etc. It uses operating system Java based made by RIM ( Research in Motion ) as blackberry vendor.
I say again that blackberry without BIS or BES is nothing ! But, when you have bundle it with BIS or BES of your mobile operator, it is born to be a killer machine for your interconnection continuously to Internet, so we can enjoy the feature without uninterrupted especially for email application, and messaging.
Blackberry uses PUSH technology instead of PULL technology which is used commonly by other device. The email just pushed to our inbox without pull it manually or by install third party software which do some schedulling. We just informed by notification like SMS incoming that our inbox has a new email.
So what’s the difference with PUSH technology by third party in other device?
One of powerful function of blackberry is about data compression technique. Blackberry can compress email size which come to our inbox with compression ratio until 1:100. It means if we have email in our email server is 1 Mb we just receive the email in our inbox 10 Kb. It will increase our device capacity, increase performance, and get rid for hang situation which almost we face if we use ordinary device.
We just relax when BIS or BES server forward our email to our blackberry device. We can receive secure with scanning from virus and compressed email until 10 account of email without scare performance of our device become slow and hang. So its about data compression technique and security and then stability.
You can try in other smartphone, when our RAM decrease, our smartphone will be slowly or hang. In Blackberry eventhough free memory decrease, it still normal for use.
The other advantages of Blackberry is configuration free of Blackberry. In other smartphone which use other opearator service we must setting our GPRS configuration, setting MMS or email etc. In blackberry when you’ve already registered to BIS or BES service, all internet function for browsing, email, MMS, email will be got automatically what ever operator we registered. Mobile subscriber just relax and drink coffee after he send SMS for registeration. Thats all !
As Blackberry user, I suggest you to choose blackberry device which has big internal memory. It is very useful if you are not user who maintenance disk capacity regulary because you are too busy and no more time to do that.
What I often complain is for blackberry software which still slightly and we have to pay it to RIM because it should have RIM authorization. So if you are a person who like install many application free you can choose other device.
But for other application such themes, personally desktop, I think we can got many themes for blackberry now.
